Catholic Tea Baggers???

Dear Brothers and Sisters: A few things today on the blog: the Catholic Bishops decided to get into a debate and also decided to make sure they knew as little as possible about the subject they were debating. I know this does not sound odd or unusual to you for the group to be clueless about most things that are important to the general public. The USCCB threw their weight behind Obamacare and its sweeping efforts to change America in so many ways it is scary to think about. Then they (USCCB) decided to put in a caveat only about the abortion issue. They totally ignored the welfare of the American citizens and the effects of this monstrosity of a bill would have on the average person financial situation. I am not going to mention that Socialized medicine has been a mess in just about everywhere it has been instituted. We are not in any way a Socialist Country. Anyway, the US Council of Clueless Bishops are at it again. Guys go polish your crosiers and leave things you do not understand alone.
.
He is a paragraph form Phil Lawler of http://www.catholicculture.org/ . Very early on in this debate, other pro-life organizations in Washington recognized what the American bishops could never bring themselves to admit: that any health-care reform proposal brought forward by President Obama and his legislative allies would look favorably on abortion (not to mention contraception, sterilization, and embryo research). With the very conspicuous exception of the USCCB, the pro-life movement was firmly united in opposition to Obamacare.
.
Once again readers I am urging you to contact your representative and voice your opinion on this sweeping financial and cultural horror show known as Obamacare. In a recent poll about 80% of Americans said they were happy with their health care. Most sane people don't buy a new car because they get a flat tire.

Here is a link also from Catholic Culture that is a must read, Catholic Tea Baggers.
